Jamboree 2009

Photos and racing up dates form Australia's largest sport compact drag racing event, the annual Fast Fours & Rotaries J19 Jamboree held at Queensland's Willowbank Raceway.

The APC Drag EVO proved to be a handful over weekend with a little too much sideways action and tremendous traction issues. Major changes were made to the vehicle in horsepower and chassis setup. Unfortunately time didn't permit testing before the event. Best time being an 8.0 @ 176 with a little more tweaking the new set up looks to be the goods.

Ben Bray's MR1200 Haltech tuned Pro-Compact Datsun Ute was more reliable than a new Commodore with consecutive back to back runs in the low 8's, 7's aren't looking far away. The SR20DET powered Datsun was converted from poisonous leaded C16 fuel to "Green" environmentally friendly Ethanol E85 fuel. APC encourage all motor enthusiasts to convert to "green fuels"

Chris Adam"s Haltech tuned CA18DET powered Datsun 1200 Ute ran a best time of 9.3 @ 143mile on the weekend two tenths of his best time of 9.1 @ 145 mile

Rob Barac's Pro-Compact EVO chassis was on display, the vehicle should be ready for the new season, will keep you posted throughout the build.

APC would like thank our sponsors: Castrol, ARE, Haltech, ET Chassis and Hypertune for their support throughout the year.
