JAMBOREE VERSION 2 NOV 3

Jamboree version 2 was taken care of on saturday with racers from all around Australia coming to the jamboree party again after the first event was rained out.

APC had a strong contingent of vehicles ready to take on the track.

Ben Bray has joined the APC racing team with a very nice DATSUN 1200 ute powered by a Nissan SR20DET and running a c4 automatic transmission. The Datto ran well all day recording a pb of 9.63 @ 145mph on the car's debut. Ben and the crew were happy to get the first event out of the way and look forward to developing the car to its full potential. Much more to come from this vehicle so watch out for the orange rocket.

Nathan Townsends Subaru Brumby was running in the Street 28/9 class that is restricted to running a twenty eight inch by nine inch tyre, nathan found himself with some issues in the morning but got the day happening with a strong showing in the rounds before being eliminated.

Rob Barac came to Jamboree with the thought of being consistent and going some rounds, and that is just what he did in sizling style. Rob and the "little yellow evo that could" went all the way to the final of super mod, only to have rob get cherry fever and pull a nasty red light to end the day, but with the evo running consistently low nine second passes there was no complaints.

Nick Zervos's emaculate black APC evo3 was back out again and had a point to prove, the evo was a spectacle to watch all day with the car leaving nice and straight but getting some movement at around half track, the car ran into the eights and qualified second in the tough super mod field. going into the first round some adjustments were made to the car to get it to leave the line harder and boy did it do that, the black flamed APC evo left the line slightly hazing all four tyres through first gear, then getting slammed into second and to carry on down the track in a blur, only to have a mechanical failure in the drive train to end the day for the "Black Wonder". up until the failure that car was on a pass that surpasses all other evo performances around the world. In testing the car has gone 174mph in a state of mild tune and we look forward to running the car again, stay tuned as the "Black Wonder" will be coming back to the track to make its mark in 4G63 history.
