APC TRACK DAY Highlights!!!!
The 2009 APC Track Day was held at Queensland Raceway on Friday November 20th to celebrate 10 years in the business at the Underwood workshop!
It was a little HOT at QR but it didn't deter anyone from the event! The day started at 12.30pm with a drivers briefing and then 1pm it was on for young and old! 95% of the 50 car field went straight out on the track for the first passenger session of the afternoon!!The diversity of cars on the track a real sight to be seen. From Porsche Cup Cars to Mercedes AMG's, Circuit Built Evo's & WRX's, M3 BMW's to name a few of the field!!! 2pm saw a sprint session for those drivers chasing times and the Start of the BBQ for all spectators!
The Steve Hay Real Estate Top Gear Challenge was also a great feature of the afternoon with some very competitive lap times being posted by the drivers. Katrina, Kenwood, Tristin, and Clinton did battle in the Suzuki Swifts under the instruction from Steve Hay and Cam Dyal but it was Paul who took the title ( and the castrol Jumper and oil for a year ) with a 1min 14 sec hot Lap. Congratulations Paul!
3.15pm saw the start of the second passenger session of the afternoon with again almost every car back out on the track!
The day concluded with a final timed sprint session and then a group photo on the start line.
