2005 APC Dyno-Day
As you may have already heard, APC's Dyno Day Spectacular was a huge success!
Thanks to everyone for their support.
Without the backing of our sponsors and supporters, the day would not have been the hit that it was.
The winners of the Dyno Comp were as follows:-
- Best 4 cyl AWD - Shane Pavey's V8EATR WRX (391.0hp)
- Best 4 cyl RWD - Chris Adams' Datsun 1200 Ute (382.4hp)
- Best 6 cyl AWD - Mark Jacobson's R32 GTR (605.6hp)
- Best 6 cyl RWD - Jason SLO32 (641.6hp)
- Best V8 - Robert Bertolacci's Ford XB Coupe (942.01hp)
- Best FWD - Travis Schling's Pulsar SSS (390.0hp)
- Best Rotary - Damien McKern's RX7 (537.5hp)
- Best Engine Bay - Brett Hooker's SS Commodore ROARZ (641.9hp)
- Most Impressive Car - Dave Homer Suzuki Swift (275.4hp)
- Best of the Best - Robert Bertolacci's Ford XB Coupe (924.1hp)
- And while owner of APC, Nick Zervos, chose not to compete, his EVO 2 put out an impressive 572hp on the dyno.
Congratulations to all who competed on the day.
But it wasn't just the cars that made the day such a success...
There were loads of promo representatives including APC's own gorgeous promo girls Amity and Mia posing all day long for photos and mingling with the crowd. The Team Tonka Girls raised money for the Tsunami Appeal with their "Babe Wash" and the Eye Candy Dancers performed their high energy dance routines for the spectators.
The constant flow of entertainment and information on the big screens included live action from the Dyno Room, live power charts, footage from the APC Racing Team, Fast Fours Magazine, Jamboree 03 and 04, NHRA Sport Compacts, sponsor advertising, product information and more.
The crowd were also kept entertained by interviews with competitors and running commentary by well-known motorsports MC's, Craig Roberts and Billy Fea.
Over a thousand people turned up for the event and, judging by the feedback received on the day (and the continuing discussion on forums such as boostcruising.com & performanceforums.com), everyone enjoyed the Dyno Day immensely.
